Starred notes carry an amber star in the tree. The All tab shows a split view — starred notes on top, the full tree below — and you can drag the divider between them.

Stars belong to the workspace you set them in, not to the app as a whole. Starring a note in Work does not star it in Personal, even if both point at the same folder.

That is deliberate: the notes you want at hand depend on what you’re doing.

Starring is app state, not note content — nothing is written to the .md file, so a starred note looks identical in Obsidian or any other editor. It also means stars do not travel when you copy the vault to another Mac.
